THINK ABOUT IT. Bridging the Gap. Addendum.
By Miriam Rumi
Mr. Richard Poor's article is a good start. As with all new ideas. It must be reviewed and fleshed out. The more objective minds working a problem the better the honing of the concept. No one person has all the answers. Here is a little help.
The major obstacles to bridging the gap in immigration law are many. Three major factors must be overcome before society can mature to a more equitable level. Avarice, hate, and fear.
Avarice rationalizes hate and fear. Person A does not have enough. A blames others for A not having more, of everything. A thinks everyone else thinks just like A (the herd instinct.) A must take from others before others take from A. A hates others to justify why A deserves what others have, powers and or possessions. Hate is the father of racism, religious bigotry, and ethnocentrism. Closed hearts and weak minds gravitate to it.
" They are not just like us. We are right they are wrong. They must be a threat to us! "
Fear is the tool of avarice and hate. By creating a threat from others A justifies all A does to fight that threat.
" We will protect you from them. Together we will defeat them. They are a threat to us! "
The mechanics of the immigration issue.
1. Lower wages create higher profits. The agriculture and construction industries are dependent on
undocumented labor.
a. Contract labor is required to file its own taxes. The contractor only has to file how much it paid contract labor.
b. There is no check on the accuracy of how much the contractor pays labor. The contractor can
pay labor " X times 1." The contractor can file taxes deducting labor costs at a higher rate such as " X times 2. "
c. Contract laborers and Yellow Card probationers file their taxes including the contractor's business'' IRS tax tracking number. When labor earnings and contractor and business cost confirm each other. That provides more accurate revenue management.
2. A lot business is against this. If there is a paper trail, it is harder to cheat the government out of justly owed revenue.
3. The migrant worked pays rent, buys food and services from the local economy. Many are undocumented, but they still work. The undocumented worker is the perfect victim and false flag threat.
a. Contractor A can under pay and even not pay the day worker without fear of the law. The
undocumented worker can not risk arrest and deportation. A plus for avarice.
b. They are taking our jobs. They are murders and rapists and drug dealers. A plus for hate and fear.
Universal respect for humanity and love for a nation ruled by law must become more important that avarice. The avarice of the tyrants, dictators, and false profits can not maintain control without hate and fear. Pure greed is what is keeping tyrants in power. They do not want a piece of the pie, they want the whole pie store. As long as they are allowed to divide, they rule. To survive people must appreciate their differences and unite. Now.
